"The Royston"

On the 3rd July 2021, we lost a friend, a brother and stalwart of the Lodge in Royston Jones. The members of University Lodge of Chester were asked for something tangible that was a fitting memory to his life, freemasonry and his passion for the University Scheme. One suggestion was that of a suitably engraved decanter which would commemorate and remember his life in perpetuity .

At the Lodge meeting held on 15th November 2021 the decanter was presented to the Lodge, filled with Port and passed around the Lodge Festive Board with the resounding charge "Pass the Royston!" This tradition will now carry on at each and every Festive Board in future, thus his name will live on forever. God bless him.
